What is meant by TKO and KO in Boxing?
Can anyone tell me what is meant by TKO and KO in Boxing?
Answer:
KO = Knockout; when the boxer is flat on the canvas for the count of ten
TKO = Technical Knockout; usually when the boxer is out on his feet, as in he's taking too many punches, seriously wounded from a cut, not punching back, unable to defend himself so the ref stops the fight to protect the boxer, etc.

Haye Vs Harrison – "Best of Enemies"
On Saturday night David Haye will defend his WBA heavyweight title against challenger Audley Harrison in the biggest British bout for well over a decade. The former friends have fired shots at each other in the build up to the showdown via the press and the stage is set for a tense and passionate encounter.
Haye is the overwhelming 1/7 favourite with Ladbrokes's the Haye Vs Harrison betting odds and the former undisputed cruiserweight champion has beaten Monte Barrett, Nikolai Valuev and John Ruiz since making the step up to heavyweight, in convincing fashion. In contrast, it could be argued the highlight of Harrison's career remains his 2000 Olympic success and this could be his last chance to land a major title.
The fact this is essentially Harrison's last chance and he seems so motivated ahead of this contest could give 39-year-old southpaw a decent shot at upsetting the boxing betting odds. However, this is a fight Haye simply cannot afford to lose if he is to achieve his dream of unifying the heavyweight division.
Harrison's last-gasp victory over Michael Sprott has led some to suggest he has the ability to beat Haye. As good as Harrison's 12th round shot was, he will struggle to land punch like that on Haye. Haye is not known as the ‘Hayemaker' for his surname alone, the defending champion has a record of 24-1 with 22 KO's and if he is allowed to get inside the way Sprott did the contest could come to an end very quickly indeed, Haye is 3/10 to win by KO or TKO or Disqualification.
Harrison has been knocked out just once in his career, although admittedly he has never faced anyone of Haye's calibre, and he is a very resilient fighter. Harrison can take plenty of punishment and the fight could well go the distance if he remains disciplined. If you fancy placing a bet on Harrison to win he is available at boxing odds of 5/1, however, if Harrison is going to beat Haye it is almost a certainty that he will have to stop the younger fighter in the distance, Harrison to win by KO or TKO or Disqualification is priced at 13/2.
