The Matrix: My Favorite Movie Costumes
Are you wondering about a costume from the Matrix films for Halloween? If so, you can either purchase or you can make it yourself. You have some terrific choices from the films: Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, Agent Smith or even the ghostly Albino Twins.
The three Matrix films take us on a fantastic adventure. The premise of the movies is very philosophical but the application is sometimes unbelievable. The philosophy behind the Matrix films is very similar to Advaita Vedanta and to some Buddhist teachings. The Matrix makes us question whether what we experience in our daily life is in fact real. How do we know it's not a dream or merely brain activity? The Matrix is Maya, the illusion and going outside of the Matrix will clear the clouds and free your mind so that you can see the truth.
The Matrix is without doubt very thought provoking and hopefully inspires some people to consider these philosophical views. However, the Matrix films are full of action and whether you comprehend fully the philosophical implications or not, it's really good fun to watch, especially with Keanu Reeves as the Savior of the human race.
Keanu Reeves plays Thomas Anderson, also known as Neo, a computer programmer and hacker who lives in the virtual reality world that is the Matrix. Neo has a sense that something is not right. He doesn't know what but he has heard of the Matrix and is keen to know what it is. When Trinity takes him to meet Morpheus, Neo is offered the chance to find out about the Matrix or to return to his conventional life. Neo is usually wearing a long black trench coat and black sunglasses. It's a hot outfit. In this outfit, you can see yourself as Neo and maybe practice some martial arts! If you're a lady you could dress as Trinity, who also looks very cool in her long black vinyl coat and black sunglasses. Or you may prefer the character of Morpheus, the captain of the Nebuchadnezzar. He also wears a long black coat and dark shades. He has black pants, black dress shirt and a lime green tie. If you're more into villains, Agent Smith is the obvious choice or perhaps the Albino Twins.

Or another one is "Like a Splinter in Your Mind: The Philosophy Behind the Matrix Trilogy" by Matt Lawrence.
